Background and ExpertiseMs. Altman has practiced law since 1991. Her practice focuses on labor and employment law including non-compete agreements, intellectual property and trade secret matters, employment contracts, employee disciplinary issues, EEOC cases and employee benefits issues. Ms. Altman also handles a wide array of general commercial matters as well as regulatory compliance matters for her clients.
Prior to opening her law practice, Ms. Altman worked in the litigation department of Wilson, Sonsini, Goodrich & Rosati in Palo Alto, California and Caroll Burdick & McDonough (now part of Squire Patton Boggs) in San Francisco, where she worked primarily on complex commercial cases in the technology sector involving some of Silicon Valley’s largest companies. Ms. Altman also spent several years serving in prestigious federal judicial clerkships, working for Chief Judge Norman C. Roettger, Jr. (U.S. District Court in Miami, Florida) and Hon. Elizabeth D. Laporte (U.S. District Court in San Francisco, California).
Community ServiceMs. Altman serves on the Board of Trustees of Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Naples, Florida and the Naples Ballet & Company. She also does pro bono legal work in her community.
